A beauty queen from the
Philippines was crowned as the New Miss International last October 27, 2016 at
the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Kylie
Verzosa brought home the Miss International Title for the Philippines when she
bested more than 65 other representatives
of various countries and regions.
Verzosa
was born on Baguio, Philippines. She graduated from Ateneo de Manila University
with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and works as a preschool
teacher. She is 24 years old and 1.75 meters tall and an advocate for
depression and suicide awareness.
Few
days before the pageant, Verzosa posted a photo on social media saying that she
is ready for the competition. In her Instagram photo, there she was holding the
Philippine flag with the caption, "Philippines this is for you, my blood,
sweat and tears. I am ready for you Japan!”

In
the event, the top 15 semifinalist were the lovely candidates from Argentina,
Canada, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Finland, Japan, Mexico, Poland,
Russia, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, Indonesia, Nicaragua, and USA. And
there it goes for the lucky 5 stunning ladies representing their country which
where the USA, Nicaragua, Indonesia, Australia and the very lovely Philippines.
In the end, the Philippine bet won the title.

In
the national costume portion, Verzosa looked gorgeous in her attire- an intricately
designed modern terno. And meanwhile, she looked glowing and sexy in her swim
wear attire.
Fellow
Filipinos became proud of her for her response in the question and answer
portion. She said that, “If I become Miss International 2016, I
will devote myself to cultural understanding and international understanding
because I believe that it is with developing in each of us [the] sensitivity to
other cultures, that we expand our horizons tolerate difference and appreciate
diversity.”
Afterwards, she added that
she is prepared to take on the role and responsibility of being the Miss
International 2016.
